Professor Courtenay Bartholomew, MD
Ambassador at Large
Serving as the Ambassador at Large for The Foundation of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary has provided Professor Courtenay Bartholomew, MD, of Trinidad, West Indies, many unique opportunities to do Our Lady’s work throughout the world.
In his most exciting and timely new book, The Last Help Before The End of Time, which carries the Imprimatur of the Most Reverend Edward J. Gilbert, CSsR, Archbishop of Port of Spain, West Indies, Professor Bartholomew provides the historical framework on which this Foundation is built. He documents the devotion to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary as it evolved in the hands of Pope Benedict XV throughout the early 20th century during World War I to the present day. Then he closes with a critically important question for our current Pope Benedict XVI, “Are you, in the spirit of Pope Benedict XV, the one (the apostle) to consecrate the world to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, or shall we expect another?”
Over the past several months Professor Bartholomew has visited and shared the importance of promoting this devotion with ecclesiastical and political dignitaries in Portugal, Ireland, South Africa, Hong Kong & Shanghai, China, and the Philippines (see below). His upcoming trips include Belgium, Rome, Italy, and Paris, France.
