Ned Dougherty - Completed. Ned was here on. Saturday January 14th. Ned was at St. Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg, MD. for a booksigning and he gave a talk at The Lynfield Event Complex in Fredrick, MD. Ned's story of his near death experience and visions that led him from being a wealthy businessman and playboy to his return to God was inspirational and moving. Dr. Thomas W. Petrisko - Completed - Author of many books and editor of nine special edition 'Queen of Peace' newspapers. Dr. Petrisko was here on April 29th and did a booksigning at St Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg, MD and a gave a fantastic talk on "God The Father and The Apparitions of Mary" at the Ski Liberty Resort and Conference Center in Fairfield, PA. Jack Marie Smith - Come hear the fascinating conversion story of this former boxer who once fought Joe Frazier. Jack also receives locutions form Our Lord, and the Virgin Mary. Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi - Seen on EWTN with Mother Angelica. Fr. Iannuzzi has written two blockbuster books "The Triumph Of God's Kingdom In The Millennium And End Times" and "Splendor Of Creation". He is also the Founder of the Catholic Radio Network and also the Founder and Editor of Ignatius Press. He has also authored many books. Fr. St. PETER’S LECTURE SERIES – 2005 Completed
Prof. Courtenay Bartholomew - Completed. Prof. Bartholomew gave a wonderful presentation on his new book "The Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary" at The Ski Liberty Resort and Conference Center in Fairfield, PA on May 20th to kick off our lecture series. The next day he did a book signing at St. Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg, MD. - this event was a rousing success. We thank Prof. Bartholomew for his time and visit with us.
Wayne Weible - Completed. Wayne was here on August 13th he did a booksigning and gave a talk. The booksigning was at St. Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg, MD. from 11-2pm. The talk was held at Ski Liberty Resort and Conference Center in Fairfield, PA. at 7pm. Wayne's talk was absolutly inspiring and powerful, the event was a huge success. Wayne has done tremendous work for Our Lady and many souls have been led back to God as a result of his efforts. His new book "A Child Shall Lead Them" can be purchased at St. Peter's Books in Emmitsburg, MD.
Christopher West (Theology of the Body) - Completed. Christopher was here on Tuesday October 25th 7pm at Mount Saint Mary's University and Seminary's Knott Auditorium in Emmitsburg, MD. Christopher West does a masterful job in explaining Pope John Paul II's life changing, and world changing Theology of the Body. We at St Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg, MD. received great news as a woman came into the store saying her son was greatly affected by the talk, she went on to say it is a miracle. This makes all the hard work worth it!
Fr. Donald Calloway MIC - Completed. Fr. was here on Saturday November 19th at Mount Saint Mary's University and Seminary's Knott Audiorium in Emmitsburg, MD. Father gave his captivating story of conversion and how he came to the priesthood. We have had tremendous feedback on how this talk may have been the best one people have attended. Father was at St Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg for a booksigning from 11-1pm, followed by a talk at the Knott Auditorium at 3pm. Pick up Fr. Calloway's latest book The Virgin Mary and Theology of the Body at St. Peter's Bookstore.
Fr. Kieran Kavanaugh O.C.D. - Completed. Fr. was here on Saturday December 10th at The National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD. He gave a wonderful talk about "How to become holy thru a Life of Prayer" Fr. Kavanaugh is the English translator of the writings of both St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of The Cross. He is a member of the institute of Carmelite Studies and was the vice postulator for the canonization of St. Teresa Benedicta of The Cross, who was Edith Stein. Fr. Kavanaugh's books are available at St. Peter's Bookstore in Emmitsburg, MD.
