Our Mission
The Foundation of the Sorrowful and Immaculate
Heart of Mary, Inc. is a local, national and international
network of lay men, women and children, singles and
families, consecrated religious, priests and clerics,
all committed to PRAYER through
the intercession of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart
of Mary.
Its primary purpose will be to serve as an accurate
and regularly updated system of communications to inform
and educate all people and disseminate pertinent material
related to the fruits of the mystical events
surrounding the on-going apparitions of Our Lady
of Emmitsburg in Emmitsburg, Maryland, USA. These
fruits include, but are not
limited to, the Messages of Our Lady of Emmitsburg,
the Lessons of Our Lord, the Hidden Life
of Our Lord, the Eucharistic Reign of the Child
Jesus, the Words of God the Father, and any
other related events and information as deemed appropriate
and beneficial to the faithful by the Spiritual Directors,
Officers and the Board of Directors.
The Foundation website will also serve as a calendar
for the various upcoming spiritual events throughout
the Emmitsburg area, which Our Lady has entitled the
Center of her Immaculate Heart, as
well as events and resources in other areas related
to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This work will be carried out by the voluntary Board
of Directors and Officers as well as all subsequent
Foundation individual members, groups and committees,
through multiple communications and media sources including,
but not limited to the internet website,
newspage and automated e-mail notifications, through
television and radio, audio and video tapes, CD's and
DVD's, newspapers and newsletters, magazines, books
and pamphlets, and through a local lecture series, a
speaker's bureau, and local, national and international
conferences, and through a suggested resource library.
The 501(c)3 non-profit organization will be home-based in Maryland but serve as a central source of information and communication both nationally and internationally. It will be funded by membership dues and voluntary contributions (however, no membership dues or fees are required for membership), as well as a projected on-line bookstore carrying related spiritual books, gifts and personal items. Fees received from voluntary contributions and all proceeds for informational and educational materials and their dissemination will be utilized solely to support the operational expenses of this ministry and any monies collected in excess of these needs will be distributed to charities.
All of the above activities and efforts are done solely
for the greater Glory of God and for the spread of the
Gospel message and the Truth, because the primary purpose
of all private revelation is to point directly
toward and to enhance the understanding of the Public
Revelation of Jesus Christ.
